Catalytic Carbon FM CATALO is a line of advanced activated carbons that go beyond simple physical adsorption. By impregnating a high-quality carbon base with specific catalysts (such as metal salts, caustic, or acids), we create a material that actively promotes chemical reactions on its surface. This is particularly effective for difficult-to-remove gaseous contaminants like hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S) and ammonia (NH 3 ). Instead of just holding the contaminant until saturation, FM CATALO chemically transforms it into a harmless, non-volatile compound.
Our unique impregnation process ensures a uniform distribution of the catalyst throughout the carbon’s pore structure, maximizing the active surface area and leading to a more efficient and long-lasting performance.
Chemisorption Over Physical Adsorption: While standard carbons rely on physical forces to trap contaminants, FM CATALO’s catalytic action chemically converts the pollutants.
