While a few molecules are not effectively managed by broad-spectrum activated carbon, surface-modified or "impregnated" carbons are specifically designed to adsorb particular molecules or groups of molecules. These impregnated activated carbons can be produced from various raw materials and come in different qualities, shapes, and sizes. By adjusting these parameters, First Molecule can enhance efficiency, prolong lifespan, and reduce pressure loss for different customer needs. Depending on the application, impregnated activated carbon may function through chemical adsorption, catalytic mechanisms, or sometimes both.

Impregnated Carbon for Acids
